I'm willing to share small tidbits of me. Who I am. What I experience. Why I do what I do. Just ramdom thoughts from me. Enjoy!

Name::Random me From::California, United States
I am a wife and mother of two boys. I work full-time in the electronics industry. It took me 6 years to graduate college (no, I'm not embarrassed-I finished, Dammit!) SJSU class of 1990. I love to cook, because I love good food. I'll pass on sweets, but will eat something with garlic or onion in a minute. I HATE cheese, except Mozzerella on pizza-and that has to be combination pizza. I hate chick flicks, but love a good thriller. My husband and I are real estate investors on the side. View my complete profile
Give it up for the haaaaaaaaardest working man in Show Business…
Mr. Please, Please, Please, Your Soul Brotha Number ONE!, The Godfather of Soul: Mr James Brown.
We lost Mr Brown on Christmas morning this year. The man, the legend is gone, but the institution is NOT gone! Mr Brown left that for ALL of us!
My first recollection was “The Payback” from 1973/1974. I remember as a little girl, I thought the song, the album and James Brown were all a ridiculous joke. My parents would have parties and every time, “The Payback” or as I called it “The BIG payback” was on the stereo.
As I grew older, I really started to love his music. All the shouts: “Hey Maceo!!!” “Hey Byrd!” “Heh Heh Heh!!” “I gotta get up on the GOOD FOOT”.. “Take me to the bridge..” The screams and shouts, the cape, those pants, the conk, those impossible dance moves..
Just watch his feet on this video clip.. it’s like he’s sliding on ice.
James Brown has had such an impact on popular music.. He was truly one of music’s pioneers. You can’t hear popular music today and not hear his influence, especially rap and hip-hop. In the 80’s and 90’s JB’s sound was everywhere! His vocals, his music was sampled and emulated. As a matter of fact, James Brown is the most sampled artist ever!
..and who can forget Eddie Murphy as James Brown in “Celebrity Hot Tub” on SNL?
Rest in Peace Mr. Brown and thank you for all your hard work!
