My Daddy

I suck! I started writing my entry about my father two weeks ago and if I recall correctly, I had a problem with my computer and didnt save what I wrote and never re-wrote it. I officially suck! Yeah, yeah, blah, blah, whatever...

Anywayzzzz---My father. He quiet, funny, classy and wise. He's kinda got this "Bill Cosby sans harrassment charges" vibe going for him. He's the "common sense dude" for every situation. He's immensely observant and analyzes eveything. There were times when that got annoying, but for the most part he's very humorous. He's that father that I always thought, "Man, my Daddy knows everything!" A few tidbits:

He met my mother in high school, they married shortly after graduation.
He and my mother will celebrate their 43rd wedding anniversary this year.
He was an "Oops! Baby" He is 13 years younger than the last child his parent's intended to have.
He recently graduated college with his Bachelors degree.
He loves Blues music.
He can not and will not dance--we like it this way.
He's a recent prostate cancer survivor.
He liked Mel when we were dating. THAT was a first.
He loves "Bullwinkle" cartoons. I do too.
He's a baseball fanatic! I'm sooo not...
He snores-really, really, really loud... Really!
His name is Napoleon. Named after his father.
He was born and raised in Central Texas
His family's house burned down when he was a child-we have very few pictures of him as a child. One of the rare ones is above.
He refuses to re-locate back to Texas. "It's too damn HOT!"
He bought this....

..because it looked like the truck from Sanford and Son, and back in the 70's he looked eerily similar to Lamont Sanford. Honestly, I dont even know if he still owns this truck. He bought it to refurbish it, then sell it, but never did. This vehicle does not reside at my parent's house. I've stopped asking about it.
